As a convenience for Timacuan residents, the developers created a back entrance  to our community when it was originally developed back in the 80's.. The entrance, located at the end of Mohegan Blvd. is gated 24 hours a day to prevent commuter and other traffic from cutting through Timacuan to avoid Lake Mary Blvd and 46A.

The land and 100 feet of the street on which the gate sits is owned by the association, joining what is actually two dead end streets, Mohegan Blvd. and Shealey Road. The gate is controlled by a gate access device, either a key card or a remote clicker. There is a one time charge for either of these devices, with the revenues being used to offset the original cost of upgrading the gate and the annual cost maintaining its electronic and mechanical components.

Residents may apply for a gate card by completing the Gate Card Request Form online and mailing it, together with a check for the total amount of devices ordered, to the address on the form. Gate cards are issued and mailed within ten business days of the request being received.
