Amendments to Covenants [Reminder]

Please remember to send in your proxy for the vote on the Covenants and Restrictions. Volunteers will be canvassing the neighborhood to collect proxies as well. The amendment changes are on the website which you can review online once you “LOGIN“ to the website then go to the “Residents” tab then choose “Documents“. Should you have any questions concerning the covenant changes, please attend the meeting on Monday, May 21, 2012 to discuss the covenant changes and cast your vote. The Board of Directors appreciates your time and help by voting on these important changes.

2012 Spring Garage Sale

The Timacuan Community Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th from 8 am to 1 pm. If you wish to participate please contact Anita at Anita.Roberts@premiermgmtcfl.com before April 10th. Directional signs will be placed at each neighborhood and a map will also be distributed from the entrance providing addresses of the participants. You must also obtain a permit from the City of Lake Mary to participate in the Garage Sale. Permits may be purchased at City Hall, 100 N. Country Club Road.

Timacuan Boulevard Road Construction Update

Portions of Timacuan Boulevard will be repaved in the near future due to inconsistencies in the roadway. Please watch for the construction vehicles during your travels along Timacuan Boulevard. FloraCreek is also scheduled for repaving this week and notices have been provided to those owners. We appreciate your cooperation during this time.

Lake Mary Charter Referendum Election [01/31/12]

The City of Lake Mary will hold a Charter Referendum Election on January 31, 2012, in conjunction with the County’s election and I have included information on this election including Early Voting, Absentee Ballots, and a Sample Ballot. Please note that you will vote at your precinct on Election Day as assigned by the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections. If you are not sure of the location, you can visit the website at www.semcoelections.org and click on “How Do I Vote” on the left hand side.

We are attempting to get notice of this election out to as many voters of LakeMary as possible and would ask your assistance in forwarding to residents in your subdivision, posting on your bulletin boards, including in your newsletters, etc.

Funeral Procession Traffic Update

On January 4, 2012 there will be a funeral procession for Matt Miller, the Seminole County Deputy, who was killed in an accident on December 26th. The funeral procession will go west on Lake Mary Blvd. (starting at 17/92) and turn north on Rinehart Road. He is to be interred at Baldwin-Fairchild (on the corner of S.R. 46A and Rinehart Road).

Traffic on Rinehart Road will be severely impacted from about noon until about 3:30 pm. Rinehart Road will be closed northbound and reduced to one lane southbound from Timacuan Blvd. to 46A during that period.

Golf Cart Parade

Santa to Visit Timacuan

Santa Claus will be visiting Timacuan on Saturday, December 3rd. around 11:00 am. He will be visiting the following streets so be ready for Santa: Mohegan Blvd, Mohave Terrace, Chinook Circle, Chatas Court, Timacuan Blvd, Flora Creek Court, Alinole Loop, Masalo Place, Keesamo Way, Maya Street, Red Wing Drive, Arrowmount Place, Powderhorn Circle, and Grayling Street.

Identity Theft Prevention Reminder

A situation arose this week in Lake Mary’s Timacuan sub-division that clearly demonstrates that individuals hold the key to protecting themselves from becoming identity theft victims. An alert citizen observed a suspicious looking individual going through trash containers that had been put at the curb for collection. The citizen notified the Lake Mary Police. The responding officer found that the individual had unopened credit card solicitations removed from several trash containers in his vehicle. In the wrong hands, these types of documents can result in identity theft and financial fraud.

Remember, when you place your trash at the curb it becomes public property and it is not illegal for someone to examine and remove contents. That’s why it’s important for individuals to be aware of what they are throwing away. Most credit card solicitations contain preprinted identifying information on the application portion. Also, be conscious of balance transfer checks often included with credit card promotions. Many times your personal information has been “conveniently” preprinted.

Obviously, the best way to protect yourself is to not place these items, or any other sensitive information, in the trash. Shredding is the best protection. You can also tear the application or checks into small pieces, making sure to destroy the printed personal information.

Community Garage Sale

It’s that time of year to clean your closets and garage for our Semi-Annual Community Garage Sale. Join in the fun and make sure you have a helper so you can shop at your neighbor’s home, too!

You will need to obtain a permit from the City of Lake Mary at a cost of $5.00. Permits may be picked up at City Hall, 100 N. Country Club Road. We will advertise the event in the Orlando Sentinel.

If you wish to participate please contact Management at management@premiermgmtcfl.com no later than October 18th so we can make arrangements to place directional signs to your home.

Precautionary Boil Water [Notice]

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

October 3, 2011 - The following Precautionary Boil Water Notice is being issued to the customers within the City limits of LakeMary due to a water main break caused by a SeminoleCounty contractor around noon today resulting in low water pressure in the system.

Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.

This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a Bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions, please call the City of Lake Mary, Public Works Department at 407-585-1452, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
