Within Timacuan, an HOA management team and dedicated HOA volunteer board provide strong support for residents and this well-maintained community. Monthly HOA board meetings are open to all homeowners.

Timacuan is home to a great abundance of Florida wildlife including many protected and endangered species.  The community’s official bird is the Florida Sandhill Crane, and these endangered & protected birds can regularly be seen frolicking, eating, and nesting throughout the entire community.  Our many ponds and boarder lakes are full of fish & turtles which attract Ospreys, Hawks and Bald Eagles as well.  Gopher Tortoises and the elusive Roseate Spoonbill can also be found throughout the community.

The Timacuan Community is located in the heart of Lake Mary, Florida, just a 20-minute drive north from downtown Orlando. The ideal location, Timacuan is on Rinehart Road near SR 46A/HE Thomas Jr Parkway. Access to Interstate 4, the 417 Greenway and the 429 Wekiva Parkway is literally five minutes away. The Sanford International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away, and the Lake Mary SunRail Station is 10 minutes away with LYNX bus stations readily available in Lake Mary.

Timacuan is conveniently located minutes away from upscale retail boutiques and dining at Colonial TownPark, Heathrow Place, The RiverWalk at Lake Monroe in Historic Downtown Sanford, and the Seminole Town Center Mall.

Easily accessed from Florida’s Interstate-4 (I-4) at Exit 101-A, Timacuan’s main entrance is located off Rinehart Road at Timacuan Boulevard.

Walking, Running or Biking

Timacuan residents walk, run and bike year-round as our expansive community connects to several county wide trail systems. Wide sidewalks within Timacuan can be found on both sides of the main roadways and offer our residents up to 6-miles of scenic walking without leaving the community. Throughout the community, park benches offer inviting rest spots near ponds, preserves and greenspace to enjoy Florida’s sunshine.
In addition, a branch of the Seminole Wekiva Trail crosses the front of the Timacuan community and offers access to more than 20 miles of paved Seminole trails to run, bike and explore.

Golf Course

18-hole Championship Course

Ranked among the top 20 golf courses in Florida for its challenging play and stunning greenery, the Timacuan Golf and Country Club is the community’s center of activity.

Designed in 1987 by renowned golf course architect Ron Garl, the club’s front nine holes offer wide, rolling fairways and three water hazards. The back nine holes are framed by beautiful oak trees draped in Spanish moss.

Golfers can warm up at the driving range and on the practice greens. Golf lessons and an extensive junior golfer program are available through the Sean Foley Performance Academy at Eagles Dream.

Timacuan Golf and Country Club offers both golf and social memberships. As a semi-private club, public play is also welcome.

Many of the club’s events are open to all of Timacuan. Residents can enjoy special occasions in the grand banquet room or on the sunset terrace. Casual dining is available in the Timacuan Grill Room throughout the week. Annual events include the Fourth of July and December holiday golf cart parades.

Honoring Those Who Serve

Since 2014, the commemorative pedestal marker, bronze plaque and flagpole at Veteran’s Circle has become Timacuan’s centerpiece.

Located on the tree-lined roundabout at Mohegan and Timacuan Boulevard, the Veteran’s Memorial provides a venue for veterans, residents, families, city and local leaders to honor America’s military and first responders.

At the corner of Timacuan’s main entrance off Rinehart Road, a Publix supermarket and pharmacy provide convenient shopping including an option for home delivery. The shopping plaza has restaurants, a nail and a hair salon, dry cleaning service and pool supply store.

An AdventHealth emergency room facility and the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion which includes specialized pediatric care are just minutes from Timacuan’s front entrance on Rinehart Road.  There is also 130-bed hospital within 3-minutes of the community entrance.

A full selection of doctors and dentists including specialists and testing facilities are located throughout the Lake Mary area.

Additional healthcare providers include Central Florida Regional Hospital just 20 minutes away.
